Marina Barrett. A couple of apartments near M. Kantemirovskaya and Avtozavodskaya, $22-45/night depending on the length of stay and the number of persons. Not your central Moscow but an OK neighbourhoods. Also has a better one-bedroom near M. Avtozavodskaya for $70, a 3-bedroom near M. - Rented an apartment near M. Tsaritsyno (10 min. walk) for a month for 500Euros
- Single large room, kitchen, bathroom
- Clean, nice kitchen
- Marina Barrett answers e-mail enquiries promptly
- Her housekeeper (possibly the owner) speaks a little bit of English
- Would stay there again

Although these are "luxury" rather than "budget" I am listing Rick here because his service style really stands out. Perhaps the only Moscow operator who will not give you a flat no if his apartments are booked but go out of his way to set you up with something appropriated. Recommended for service quality. Apartments are good too and well worth the price. Also he may have "last minute" specials. Please don't be put off by American jingoism on his site www.enjoymoscow.com . You are renting his apartments, not his attitude.  RECOMMENDED
