Sorry to say this offer cannot be recommended for a variety of reasons, from the host's failure to respond to his mode of business conduct to his personal habits. Further, I've had a disproportionate number of unpleasant situations with cheap offers and cheap requests. I'm abandoning the cheap end of the market because, ironically, cheap hosts and cheap travellers are a drain on my personal and financial resource. Will someone tell me why "rich" travellers and "respectable" accommodation providers are often cheaper to work with than the budget crowd? ... - pv

About Ramenskoye
Bronze cartoon characters

We need just one guest. This page may draw more and much more. In anticipation of more interest in visiting our town than we can possibly accommodate I've compiled this list of hotels in Ramenskoye,  Zhukovsky, and the area. Help securing accommodation during the Zhukovsky Air Show is available.

About Zhukovsky

Ramenskoye is next stop to Zhukovsky, where the MAKS Exhibition and air show is held every other summer.  If your main interest is MAKS, consider staying at Zhukovsky or Ramenskoye as opposed to travelling there from Moscow together with many thousands of others addicted to the sight and sound of flying objects.

Here is a selection of materials on Zhukovsky in English

The official description of MAKS

A report by an aficionado of air shows and museums

The English page of 2007 exhibition, presently in the making

The Russian Knights air acrobatics team

Need to know anything about Ramenskoye or Zhukovsky? By all means write to me, and I'll do my best to get you the information you need. My e-mail is roman.gonin@mail.ru
