A copy of your enquiry and feedback about your experience is all I need in most cases, with no further involvement.

Homestays are NOT for everyone. You will be sharing space with your host/roommate. Think carefully of compatibility. If in doubt, opt for an apartment or even better a hotel.

Added Feb. 23, 2008   Mattress-on-the-floor type living arrangement in the north of Moscow, free, in exchange for English. In the summer one full room will be available, $25 or so, no need to provide conversation practice.
Two sisters offer a cosy 12m room in their two bedroom flat for a short-term rent, commencing on 20th Nov 07. Not far away from metro station VDNKh (ÂÄÍÕ), 10 min on foot. We are looking for one only (!) intelligent, reliable and accurate girl. The room has all necessities: a very big bed, wardrobe, chest of draws and broadband Internet. There is a bath/over bath shower, basin, w.c. and washing machine in the bathroom, and all basic appliances in the kitchen. Everybody cleans after themselves, cleaning of communal areas on equal turns, strictly no smoking permitted within the accommodation.  Monthly rent is 15.000RUB (including the bills and the Internet), plus security deposit of 10.000RUB (refundable on departure). It's a family-owned business with 12 individual guest rooms.  We've rennovated each with lots of care and have done our best to make it a cozy and friendly place for guests to stay. Our prices are in the economy range and much, much cheaper than any hotel you'd find in the center.  Prices are are the par with what you'd find at a hostel, but something rather nicer. Asya Mikhailovskaya. Two rooms in an absolutely superb location across the Moskva river from the Kremlin. Around $30/person, $40/couple.  Good-to-excellent feedback. An old neighbourhood. As central as it gets. Very close to the KGB headquarters and Drugs Control Committee.

Yes, the one where rooms are $200/night and Internet access $21/hour.  Same building but nicer, 50Euros/night, with complimentary internet access, breakfast included, full board possible "at cost".. Nastia & Kolia, 500R ($17) per person or couple, M. Medvedkovo, Far North but OK access to Sheremetyevo and the Exhibition. Also easy access to Sergiev Posad and other Golden Ring cities north-east of Moscow. Undiluted Russian style service and attitude, eg. you'll hear that it is the West's fault that they've been reduced to having to rent their room.
