"Russia Information Desk"

Russian travel & Living
Information and advice

free as a public service

Yes, I will answer, promptly and entirely free of charge, small Russia-related questions of the sort that a knowledgeable person can address from the top of his head or by flipping through the telephone directory or making a call or too. Five minutes of my time, and years of experience of living and working in this hmm.. challenging environment are yours for the asking.

Just take care, when using this great free information service, to phrase your inquiry well. Our main expert (me) is growing progressively cranky and inquiries of the sort "send me more information on the Trans-Siberian"  or "What's your best offer on a ticket to Tomsk" make him throw small objects at humanity. We'd love to replace him if he only wasn't so good at what he does, and for the time being we are held hostage to his wisdom and his temper.  Examples truly awful questions will be posted soon. The irony is they often come from English teachers but that's another story.

Of course we'll be glad to do more for a small fee. We are good at finding and compiling information. We can be hired to run errands on your behalf. If you need to maintain your presence in Moscow efficiently and inexpensively, I can offer you anything from a telephone answering service to your fully capable virtual office. Fees start at $25 for a simple errand.

Please post your general-interest questions on our Notice Board. These will usually be answered within a week.

Please direct those of private or urgent nature to paul_voytinsky@yahoo.com, and they will be processed within hours.
