Pechatniki neighbourhood photos Staying with Maria's mother Larissa in Mar'yino

Normally this is a $10/night fold-out chair in the kitchen option. Occasionally, especially in the summer, the entire apartment may be available in the $30-40/night price range. This is a bachelor apartment with a fold-out couch and a fold-out chair in the kitchen. Exceptionally clean and cozy, Russian style. That means lots of rags, pictures, and cute little things that defy description. I stayed there myself for a few days in exchange for dog-walking when I just had to return to Moscow from my dacha near Staritsa, Tver region, while my own pad was rented out. My only complaint was that every little things was so much in its right place, and the kitchen was so clean, that I was afraid to touch anything let alone cook. Fortunately, there was a good and very inexpensive, and quite vegetarian-friendly Armenian cafe 3 min. from the apartment, and I combined walking the dog with getting a bite to eat. The neighbourhood, a major hole and a jewel of my "Moscow-the-Ugly Tour" only 3-4 years ago, now boasts one of the best infrastructures in Moscow. The area is the choice of young professional families. Here are some pictures of the apartment and the area. More on their way. This is probably the most "massive" of Moscow's neighbourhoods. People from small-town America may feel uncomfortable in the type of urban environment Mar'yino represents.
